Henry is 5!!!
This February 6th was Henry's birthday!
We asked him many times what gift he wanted and he only said he wanted his grandma to give him a new bed. So we went with him and Celita to Toys'r'us to see if he wanted also any toy... Of course, he did want some too!; lol...

School's finished!
Oh yes, I know that I am a bit behind, lol... But this house has been so crazy after school finished and during the last week too. Last December 17 Henry had his school big Christmas party. It was so pretty with angels, snowmen, etc...
Henry and the kids had a blast there! After the show it was a buffet also and all the moms brought anything to eat. I made some peanut butter snowballs and also decorated-by-Henry sugar cookies (I can't believe I forgot to take pics of them!).
They didn't want to pose for the photos but finally could make some fun ones, lol...
Here's the card and Henry added some glitter to both buttons. It was so cute!

Obama & McCain
I am not American, but the election day was almost worldwide. Because history was made yesterday, global history, global change.
I am not American and I don't know which one of them was better than the other and I don't even know which one of them would I have choose, but what I know is that here in Spain we do not have politicians with that high sense of what a nation is as McCain and Obama have.
Last night we stayed all night with the TV on waiting for the results. I told Henry that if my Dad were living with us, he would have wake up the kids and watch the TV with them in beds so that they could be part of History as well.
Around 4 or 5 am local time, everything was almost done and McCain gave his speech to his people. God, how much it touched my heart. He was talking like an American not like a winner or a loser. He called all his people to help Obama to make the nation better and bigger, he also referred personally to Obama's Grandma in a very sweet way. It really amazes me how the greatest pride is to be American and to be in service of the nation, not just to win or lose the election.
Obama's speech was also so inspiring. And maybe that's a word to define him; inspiration. He inspires change but also tradition. I am not American and I am white so I haven't ever had any racist's problems, but don't have to feel it to know how important is to have Obama where he is now. And it was now or never. And it had to be him.
McCain is so good man and good politician but Obama is Carl Lewis. Remember Carl Lewis? He was THE speed, and you could be the best running but you couldn't win Carl Lewis. I feel the same about McCain. Maybe he could have made a change too but not now... Not with Obama there.
I am not American but I want to say congratulations to all American people for that American Pride, congratulations for having those 2 candidates to choose from (believe it's a privilege to be able to choose between Moet Chandon or Veuve Clicquot instead of Coke or Fanta, lol...) it's a real privilege, congratulations for the change to come and congratulations for that love you all have to your flag, hymn and nation. And congratulations to both of the candidates; Obama because he could, McCain because last night he was the most elegant and pure gentleman I've ever seen.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about this photo in this post. A friend of mine that makes printables always says a gift is not a gift if there isn't a chocolate inside... And I think the same but with posts and pics; A blog post is not complete without a pic, so I've decided to add this photo of one of Belle's printable sets. She's so patriotic so I've choose this set from her that's so related to today's American feeling!

Anniversary

Today's my 6th wedding anniversary.
I can't believe how fast has it all go! And it's fun because we got married the day of the Hispanity festivity; October 12, so we never have to go to work or school in our anniversary. Just enjoy the family!
I feel so lucky today I had to share. I am so sorry I know this has nothing to do with crafts or other things I post about i my blog but I remembered this layout I made last year and wanted to share this pic from our wedding day. I love that photo and I love to look at it and my eyes says everything. It was the happiest day of my life, even more than when my 2 children were born because I also had fear and pain those days, lol... But my wedding day was so magical...
I have always thought that all my related up in heaven moved all their influences so that that day could be just perfect! lol... I felt all the time they were there with us all!
It was a magic day and I just want that all that magic still with us forever! I can't imagine living without my DH and everytime I look at that photo I thank God for letting me enjoy life with him and our beautiful children!
Well, let's keep enjoying the day!

Celia

Marta's Wedding! Part 1
Lol... Yes, there's going to be 3 parts of this post, lol...
My cousin Marta's wedding has been the greatest family happening this year!, lol... So we've been waiting for this day soooo much! She's so lovely and her husband now is just adorable and perfect for her! So, we can only be soooo happy!
I was so excited for the wedding that I have 3 posts for it; one for the gifts I made for her, another one for the pics of the hotel we stayed in, and finally the party pics!
Let's start with the things I made for the honeymoon!
I sewed the same travel wallet I made for us when we went to Disneyland Resort Paris but using this wedding themed fabric from Michael Miller that I bought from equilter. I made the pattern myself and I'm so proud of it, lol... Made also a bussines card wallet to hold the hotel cards, 2 passport sleeves and also a travel tissue holder. And then I did also made some printables for them; luggage tags, bookmarker and the typical door hanger I always make for the just married couples, lol... The templates for the bookmarker and the luggage tags are from Belle
And that's how it looks when open, lol...
I also made a little book filled with photo frames and lines where each of the guests could give them a little message. I didn't take pics of it and I know It's a big mess, lol... I used my pogo from Polaroid and I can't be happier enough with Henry for giving it to me for my birthday. It's the best! (Henry and the pogo, lol...)

I am 35 now!

Oh God, I can't believe I am 35 years old! When did this happen???? lol...
Well, there's no remedy so I have fo face that I am getting older and older and enjoy it! Guess that's the right thing to do, lol...
For this day I wanted a "petit comité" party. Just with my close friends and family. I made these cute invitations (using Mo Jackson art) and prepared a sweets, candies and baked goods only party! With coke of course! Then the boys opened the "barbecue-bar" when the sun started to go down and we stayed there until almost 10pm! With all the kids! And all located in my Dad's garden in front of our homes.
The party was organized to start at 5pm. While I was preparing the table, the buffet, the garlands, etc... I received the best present of the day; my brother, that was surfing in France, came as a surprise to the party! He was supposed to arrive at night but took a sooner flight back! I was so happy when I saw his car getting inside the garden I started to run to him crying like a baby!, lol... I my God, how old I am!!!!! This pic was taken by DH from our home's balcony while I was crying and holding Chani, lol...
Julia prepared this beautiful salad that, also, was sooo good!, lol... But, don't you think it's a pity to start such a beauty?, lol...
And here's the post-party effect. lol... When we got back home Celita laid down in the floor laughing and asking for her milk!, lol...
And Henry went to the sofa to rest while watching some cartoons. I think he didn't even see the start of it before falling asleep, lol...
It was a great day and a great party. I did enjoy it so much and I think I can not express all the joy I feel with such a great group of friends and family. I adore them all!
